The structure of MQ silicone resin is as follows: the core is composed of SiO4/2 polymer (i.e. Q), and the periphery is capped by trimethylsiloxy groups (i.e. M), forming a tight double-layer ccage structure of silicone resin. It appears as white loose powder or flaky solid.
In addition to containing Si-OH groups, it can also contain other active groups. The MQ resin with all trimethyl ends on the periphery is methyl MQ silicone resin. When part of the methyl groups in methyl MQ silicone resin are replaced by Vi groups, it becomes methyl vinyl MQ silicone resin; when part of the methyl groups are replaced by Me2HSiO- groups, it becomes hydrogen-containing MQ silicone resin. Due to this special molecular structure, MQ silicone resin is easily soluble in organic solvents such as toluene and xylene. The solution is clear and colorless, and it has excellent mechanical properties, insulation, moisture-proof, water-proof and high and low temperature resistance.
Characteristics of MQ silicone resin:
✔ Outstanding reinforcing effect ✔ Colorless and transparent products ✔ Long-lasting protective film formed after curing ✔ Good weather resistance, electrical insulation, moisture-proof and water-repellent performance
Application fields of MQ silicone resin:
✔ Silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive ✔ Cosmetics ✔ Potting of electronic and electrical components ✔ Transparent optical adhesive ✔ Silicone leather ✔ Silicone defoamer ✔ Mold release agent, release agent
