What is the physical strength of silicone rubber at high temperatures?

The physical strength of silicone rubber at room temperature is slightly inferior to that of other organic rubbers, but under high-temperature conditions, its strength is the most outstanding.

For instance, the compression set of silicone rubber after being pressurized at 150℃ for 70 hours is 7% to 10%. This low compression set makes it an excellent material for sealing parts such as O-rings, gaskets and washers used at high temperatures. In addition, special silicone rubber can also have radiation resistance.

For instance, phenyl silicone rubber has excellent high-temperature radiation resistance and can still maintain elasticity even when the Y-ray is as high as 1X109R.
