In active response to the national "dual carbon" development strategy and in practice of the green manufacturing philosophy, our company has recently invested millions of yuan to complete a distributed rooftop photovoltaic project on its factory premises, which has been successfully grid-connected. By installing solar panels on idle factory rooftops, the project replaces conventional grid electricity with clean energy, achieving multiple benefits including reduced production costs, improved energy efficiency, and lower carbon emissions-all demonstrating our commitment to establishing a benchmark for green manufacturing.

This photovoltaic roof project involves a total investment exceeding one million yuan, covering the entire roof area of production workshops and storage facilities. It employs high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules, is equipped with an intelligent remote monitoring and maintenance system, and operates under the industry-standard model of self-consumption with surplus power fed into the grid. During construction, strict adherence to factory roof protection standards was maintained; work was scheduled across different time periods to avoid disrupting normal production processes, ensuring simultaneous fulfillment of requirements for roof waterproofing, load-bearing safety, and power generation efficiency.

According to the project operations manager, the entire photovoltaic system generates over one million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, enabling the plant to achieve substantial self-sufficiency in daytime power consumption. Economically, solar power generation directly reduces the company's peak industrial electricity costs, while surplus power sold to the grid generates stable revenue, effectively offsetting operational pressures caused by rising electricity prices over the long term. Once operational, the project will recoup its investment costs within several years, creating a sustainable green asset.

news-606-454 In terms of environmental protection and carbon reduction, the project saves hundreds of tons of standard coal annually and reduces CO₂ emissions by nearly 1,000 tons-a figure equivalent to the annual carbon absorption capacity of planting tens of thousands of mature trees. This significantly lowers overall carbon emissions throughout the production process, cuts fossil fuel consumption at the source, and effectively achieves the company's phased carbon reduction targets. Additionally, rooftop photovoltaic panels create a natural insulation layer that effectively lowers summer indoor temperatures in workshops, reduces energy consumption of air conditioning systems, and further enhances energy-saving benefits.

"Developing green and low-carbon practices is not a burden for enterprises, but a key factor in long-term competitiveness," stated the company executive. As a manufacturing enterprise, proactively engaging in photovoltaic projects not only fulfills our social responsibility for energy conservation and carbon reduction, but also serves as a crucial step in enhancing our ESG-driven green development strategy and boosting brand competitiveness. Currently, procurement clients both domestically and internationally increasingly prioritize suppliers' green production credentials. Upon implementation of photovoltaic green power projects, the company can issue comprehensive certificates of green electricity usage, further strengthening its appeal to cross-border and domestic corporate clients and aligning with global trends toward low-carbon procurement in international trade.

Next, the company will leverage its photovoltaic rooftop project as a starting point to advance energy-saving upgrades across the plant, optimize energy consumption management of production equipment, enhance wastewater and exhaust gas recycling systems, and establish a comprehensive low-carbon production ecosystem. By consistently driving operational development through green practices, the company aims to strike a balance between cost reduction, efficiency improvement, environmental protection, and sustainable growth, thereby providing a replicable model for the industry's green transformation.
